• Visitors - If you're an external user, please email psychology@lib.cam.ac.uk and depending on staff availability and library space, the librarian will arrange a visit. 

Building and Library access

Psychology reception (ground floor) opening hours: Mon-Fri 9-12:30 and 13:30-17. 

Please note that if you do not have card access to the building you will not be able to enter the facilities out of those times.

Rules

• All books borrowed must be issued using the self-issue machine, the borrowing register slip, or at the Library desk.

• Books must not be marked.
• Food is not permitted in the library.

• The library welcomes you with your drink in a mug or travel cup.

• Belongings should not be left unattended.

ⓘ If the fire alarm sounds, please exit immediately. The fire assembly point is outside the Geography Department.

Facilities

The Main Library Room: 12 study desks, 2 small sofas and 2 armchairs in the main library room.

MacCurdy Library Room: We have a meeting space for 4-6 people in the MacCurdy Psychopathology Collection room. Please note that while this room can be booked for meetings and study groups, the room will continue to be open for users to access the shelves.

The computer suite has 6 computers - On the 1st Floor, by the library. Collect your login and password from Computer Room 03 (Ground Floor) or email psychology.it@bio.cam.ac.uk if you are a first time user.

Electronic Legal Deposit Terminal(eLD) - On the 1st Floor, by the library, we have one terminal/computer to access the Electronic Legal Deposit. Using your University card and DS-Print credit, you can print from PSY-FindMe DS-printer by the terminal.

Printer/scanner/copy - You can use the printer in the computer room or the printer room (room 111). To print, you need credit on your DS-Print account. 

Binding machine (manual) - We have a self-service binding facility which costs £1.00 per spiral biding + covers. Please ask at the Library Office.

The Psych Sanctuary (student common room) - Next door to the library, equipped with vending machines for snacks and drinks, a fridge, kettle and microwave. Seating includes café style tables, easy chairs and bean bags. Fits 16-20 people.

Lockers - In the PsychSanctuary, we also have lockers that students can borrow for the academic year. A £10 deposit is required.

Toilets - Gender neutral toilets are available on the ground floor by the stairs and on the first floor by the PsychSanctuary. A ladies' toilet is situated on the third floor and a Gentlemen's toilet on the fourth floor.

Accessibility
